She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greataxe.
