History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Trail was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Pennie has worked very hard to control her curse. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: He got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. He found a children's book about a Gnome Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story.
