Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
