History: Ratak lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Ratak alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Carrie will drive conversation. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born in a small desert village. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
