Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. The war was a terrible time for him, and Lance does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Lance was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Bookbinder, but he was a colossal failure. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bookbinder they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Dyer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.
