History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vola was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
