Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he wears many layers of old clothing at all times. His black hair has been sun bleached extensively. He has gleaming, smiling green eyes.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Through the years after Umpen was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Umpen's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and doesn't want to be a healer and was forced into it by his family

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Shadow will drive conversation. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with her Shepherd father left her crippled. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her first spouse was a Cartwright, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has never given up on her painting dream.
