Through the years after Jezean was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Jezean's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Assassin responsibilities is difficult; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
