Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Shifting hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. After a long history of fighting, Ar-Gul and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and a rival would like her out of the picture
