History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Mardred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Mardred was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.
