History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and his religion dominates his actions
