History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She wears her hair in dreadlocks. Her skin is flawless and her brown eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Sculptor arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Arha was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Arha decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He worked as a nervous Herbalist and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
