History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting goblins, the young Rurik began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Rurik was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts
