History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Nella has worked very hard to control her curse. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
