History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: Born in the north to a Weaver, Portia learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Portia has worked very hard to control her curse. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: Windy hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Windy and his spouse have recently divorced.
