History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Born in the east to a Stylist, Merla learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Stylist. She struck the Stylist job and began her own company from there.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
