Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Ûgakûga is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
