He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He's also a talented Dyer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
