Description: His right side is far more bruised and cut up than his other. He wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a brown coat. He has a long white beard with little hanging trinkets. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Dean was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Description: An older woman who wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment, she is not a threatening figure. She wears her copper crest up. Her gold eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Mishann took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor she uses now. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Jeweler they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Barkeep, and she later adopted a second son.

History: Born to a Layabout, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Vezera enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
