Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a jeweler and was forced into it by his family

Personality: She is a sleazy, sleazy gal. She has no qualms about using her powers of suggestion to get people to do what she wants. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Jarana was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her childhood dream was to be a Bather, but she was a colossal failure. She's also a talented Bather, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants a kiss; and further expansion of business

She has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: She is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks her mind. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: Ishte lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father.
