History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He became a Cook soon after.

Personality: Nicholas is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Through the years after Nicholas was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west.
