History: She was born in the east. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Melissa's homeland. Melissa decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Cartwright who has hired him part-time. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Cartwright arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Serpent was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Cartwright. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and doesn't want to be a cartwright and was forced into it by his family
