History: Born in the south to a Painter, Birel learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Gifted from a young age, Kerkad studied abroad. Kerkad was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Ruler. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Crown-heir hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has achieved small success as a Crown-heir.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Kilia was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
