History: Born to a Tanner, his father struggled to pay the bills. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.
