Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His rusty crest is lengthy. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Gargax was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: Synthrin is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is a thrill seeker, she laughs at people and throws down challenges. She is highly competitive and combative.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Unemployed born in the past three hundred years. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
