Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She was taken from her home at a very young age. During her travels, Cloud and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Cloud discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Cloud fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
