History: Portia was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Portia has worked very hard to control her curse. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Bryseis hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
