He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and many illithids want him driven away

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Sellsword responsibilities is difficult.

He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Hupe never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born in a small island village. Her first spouse was a Farmer, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She bought a whip and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
