History: Birel lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and regain custody of her daughter

As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
