Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Gerard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He was born into a rich family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and he would like to get married and retire

History: The child of a Barrister, who enjoyed hunting, Aust was taken on many hunting expeditions. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion

History: She comes from a rich northern family. She dropped out of school to support her sick father, and resented it. Now she works as a writing tutor during her time off.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and doesn't want to be a scribe and was forced into it by her family
