History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Criella never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Ortegar was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Baker. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: Sun is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Born in the east to a Carpenter, Sun learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carpenter. He tends to his Carpenter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Nil hails from a village terrorized by giants. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Revenge; and an old rival family wants him found
