History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is obsessed with his god.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.
