Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Balimaar's homeland. Balimaar decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He prefers to wear blue pants and tee shirts. He keeps his chestnut hair in a flapper bob. His half smiles and violet eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was born in the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Crown-heir hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.
