History: Malquis hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
