History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He married young, but lost his spouse to orcs. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Howard speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Howard hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting illithids, the young Howard began to lead the lost caravan. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
