History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gold.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mason but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Tethren was born on a far eastern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mason. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She takes great joy in being the best Sculptor in town.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. Tatyan liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She struck the Sculptor job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Marbas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to reunite with his absent father
