During his travels, Uthemar and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Uthemar discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Uthemar fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tieflings in Zepar's homeland. Zepar decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 6 years.
