Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Brakka never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Miller profession.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Server. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Description: This tall, slender woman likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. Her hair is chestnut and very short. She is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Cook; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
