Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ruler but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Ruler. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Ruler for the past few years.

She wears many layers of old clothing at all times. Her auburn hair is cut short. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are gray.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Dee lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Dee and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Rael was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Rael's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Description: An older man who is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior, he is not a threatening figure. His auburn hair is knotted and matted. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.
