Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His head has been shaved. His gray eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Miles was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alvyn does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the west to a Apothecary, Alvyn learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance.
