History: The child of a Engraver, who enjoyed hunting, Astar was taken on many hunting expeditions. A gifted student he started as a Engraver, but he got bored and became a Knight. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Knight for hire.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Quespa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

After coming to the age of reason, Forcas took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His brown eyes peer out from beneath his wide-brimmed white hat.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Imsh was born the youngest of three triplets. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
