History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Through the years after Decarabia was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Decarabia's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Decarabia and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born into a rich family. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
