History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shaena was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Shaena was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Shaena's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mella grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mella. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: Astaro hails from a village terrorized by orcs. At a young age her father died while driving off some orcs. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in ceremonial dagger use. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Ermina hails from a village terrorized by goblins. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and a deep hatred of goblins
