Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Cairn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Meriele was born on a far western plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Engraver. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
