As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Dwarven conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. When Oblar reached his early adolescence his Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
