In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Aerdeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
