Through the years after Gunnloda was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gunnloda's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was born in the north. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
