His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Weaver they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second son.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
