Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

She has dyed her greying black hair a little too much giving a sharp black color. Her brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She is a Detective first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nyx was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 9 years.

Motivation: Expand her business; and balancing her hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His silver hair is cut short. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. The war was a terrible time for him, and Varis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he is greedy
