History: Oriff hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
